☕️❄️ So proud of our Social Skills Group! ❄️☕️

Last week, the boys in our Social Skills Group hosted a hot chocolate and coffee sale — and they did an amazing job!

From greeting customers and taking turns, to problem-solving, teamwork, and practicing social communication in real-life situations, this event was full of meaningful learning moments. Watching them build confidence, support one another, and celebrate their success was truly the best part. 💛

And Santa even made an appearance!🎅

Our Social Skills Group always has a great time working together! 💪🫶

In a peer-group environment, they work on:

✨ Turn taking with peers
✨ Problem solving in social situations
✨ Understanding emotions (theirs + others’)
✨ Building empathy
✨ Practicing social “rules”
✨ Strengthening confidence in communication

Later today, from 3:30-4pm, our Social Skills Group is hosting a special Hot Chocolate & Coffee Sale — and it’s more than just a fun winter treat! Watching them greet customers, work together, make decisions, and brighten someone’s day with a warm cup of cocoa will be one of the sweetest (and warmest) part of the season.🥰❄️

📍This will be located in front of Speech Therapy Consulting, Inc (Suite A) at 255 North Lincoln St in Dixon.
