Time in nature does more than give kids a place to play.
Running, climbing, and exploring outdoors supports physical health, emotional balance, focus, and even better sleep.

What do you usually do when your child has a fever?
Fluids, light clothing, and the right medication can help keep kids comfortable. However, some common remedies, like cold baths, can actually make things worse.
When you’re unsure, having quick access to your pediatrician can bring real peace of mind.

Spring is a great time for a little reset 🌱
Sometimes the biggest health wins come from the smallest habits, like outdoor play after school or choosing water first.
These everyday choices help support sleep, immunity, focus, and overall wellness for growing kids.

I'm beyond thrilled to meet my hero, Dr. Susan Kressly. As past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Kressly is a champion for our kids. She's a true inspiration.

A little color can go a long way 🌈
Moments of fun like picking out a sticker or enjoying something bright and playful can help kids relax, feel comfortable, and even look forward to their visit.
We understand how much these small joys matter, and we encourage them because feeling safe and happy is part of great care too 💙

Spring sniffles aren’t always a cold 🌿
When pollen levels rise, many kids start experiencing sneezing, itchy eyes, congestion, and runny noses that can last for weeks. Unlike colds, seasonal allergies usually don’t come with a fever.

Would you like the comfort of knowing that you can contact your child’s pediatrician 24/7?
Rivertowns Pediatrics is a Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice. This is a membership-based model where we best serve the needs of our patients and their families. Instead of having thousands of patients, Rivertowns Pediatrics limits the patient volume to a few hundred. This is to ensure that we deliver the best possible care without the rush and the wait that is found at most pediatric offices.
Every member has 24/7 access to Dr. Gupta. That means there is no taking time off from work or school to rush to an appointment.
Each member is scheduled for extended visits and Dr. Gupta will never double or triple book his schedule. That means there will be no waiting. Your child will be seen at his/her scheduled appointment on-time, every-time.
The time spent with Dr. Gupta will be longer than what you are used to and that is to ensure that a complete history and physical exam is performed and all of your questions are answered. This results in less unnecessary referrals and invasive lab tests.
If your family needs better, please email Dr. Gupta at info@rivertownspeds.com or call (914) 330-8445.
