An EKG isn’t just for adults
it’s an important tool to help evaluate heart health in children and teens too. 💙🧡
This quick, painless test records the heart’s electrical activity and helps providers identify concerns early.
When might your child need an EKG?
• Persistent chest pain or tightness
• A racing or irregular heartbeat
• Dizziness, fainting, or episodes of feeling light-headed
• Shortness of breath not explained by illness
• A family history of heart conditions
• Before starting certain medications or sports programs
EKGs are fast, safe, and give valuable insight into how the heart is functioning. If you’ve noticed symptoms or have concerns about your child’s heart health, ECC is here to guide you and decide whether an EKG is appropriate. 🩻
