Behavior doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
When we teach replacement skills, we prevent dangerous moments before they happen.

12-hour ABA days? Let’s talk.

Long days don’t automatically mean better outcomes.

Quality ABA should be:
✔️ Individualized
✔️ Data-driven
✔️ Developmentally appropriate
✔️ Focused on meaningful goals
✔️ Respectful of the child’s stamina and well-being

More hours are only appropriate when they are clinically justified not because it “sounds intensive.”

Parents, ask:
• Why this many hours?
• What skills are being targeted?
• How is progress measured?
• How do you prevent burnout?

Ethical ABA prioritizes progress and the child’s quality of life — not just the schedule.

If you’re unsure whether your child’s plan makes sense, speak with a licensed and ethical professional.

We may not give roses…
But we do give high-fives, token boards, and breakthrough moments 🌹✨

And honestly? That’s even better.

Not every tantrum means the same thing.
Sometimes it’s frustration.
Sometimes it’s communication.
Sometimes it’s a transition that feels too big.

When we understand the why behind the behavior, we can respond in ways that actually help not just stop the moment, but teach skills that last.

✨ How ABA can help:
✔️ Identify what’s driving the behavior
✔️ Teach kids how to communicate their needs
✔️ Support smoother transitions
✔️ Reduce tantrums by building real skills (not just compliance)

If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, you don’t have to figure this out alone.

What looks like “just waiting 5 seconds” is actually teaching a lifelong skill.

We don’t teach for the moment we teach for real life.
Waiting in lines. Handling delays. Staying regulated when things don’t move fast.

🗣️Planned ignoring gets a bad rap.

For years, it’s been tied to guilt, shame, and the idea that we’re “ignoring the child.”

Let’s be clear: we’re not ignoring the child we’re ignoring the behavior.

When done correctly, planned ignoring can be effective only when we are:
✨ Prompting replacement behaviors
✨ Reinforcing appropriate communication
✨ Staying present, regulated, and responsive

Planned ignoring without teaching what to do instead isn’t intervention it’s just silence.

Behavior change happens with connection + guidance, not punishment.
