Procedure: Inguinal Hernia Repair with Mesh
Surgeon: Dr. Jose Lamas

Hernia repair surgery is one of the most common surgeries in the United States, and the majority of these repairs use mesh.

During surgery to repair the hernia, the bulging tissue is pushed back in your abdominal wall and strengthened/ supported with sutures, and sometimes mesh. This repair can be done with open or laparoscopic surgery.

Meet Dr. Cruz-Pachano!

Dr. Cruz-Pachano specializes in Obstetricians/gynecologists (OB-GYNs) and is a part of Bayshore Women’s Healthcare.

Today he performed a laparoscopic bilateral tubal ligation which is a surgical sterilization procedure in which a woman's fallopian tubes are either clamped and blocked or severed and sealed.

Performing this procedure in an outpatient setting allows for rapid recovery and flexibility for patients to return quickly to work or home.
