More exciting news coming up for Rick and his team at Spectrum Health. Besides Rick being the first in the state of Michigan to receive the gastric sleeve surgery while having an LVAD in place, Spectrum is only the third in the entire country to do the surgery. Cleveland Clinic and Texas Heart Institute are the two others.

Spectrum Health is working on getting Rick on the show Eight West and also there is a medical journal that wants to interview Rick. I think the fact that he is so young and has a unique story is what makes the medical community interested in his outcome.

Exciting news! Rick will be on TV Monday morning February 22 at 9 AM on Fox Morning Mix! He will be joining Dr. Schram who will be talking about the benefits of the gastric sleeve surgery, especially in patients who have the LVAD like Rick does.

As some of you already know, Rick was the first patient in the entire state of Michigan to receive the gastric sleeve surgery with the LVAD in place. Please tune in and watch him!
