On October 30th, Lynn Whitfield, DBD for Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center, attended the Love Like Lexi Gala in Columbus, GA!! The Love Like Lexi project attends schools and educates children on their purpose, the voice of su***de and su***de prevention. Laurel Oaks has partnered with the project for the last two years! Lynn has attended multiple assemblies all over the state of Alabama and met with many school officials. At the Gala, she has the privilege of sitting with the State of AL Superintendent, Dodd Hawthorne and Houston County Superintendent Brandy White! She also had the privilege of meeting the District Attorney of Russell County, Rick Chancey, and he gave the most positive feedback about Laurel Oaks and thanked Lynn for the great care their children receive. Congratulations, Lynn, on your “Heartbeat Award”.
