On February 21 -22, 2018, the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan, Alabama will be taken over by almost 6,000 8th-grade students from the three states of Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. Counties of Barbour, Coffee, Covington, Crenshaw, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston, and Pike counties from Alabama. Early, Miller and Seminole counties from Georgia along with Jackson, Holmes and Washington counties from Florida. Southeast Worlds of Work is a hands-on career experience for these students. The expo is a way for students to become familiar with a broad overview of high demand, high wage career opportunities available in the area and to create awareness about exciting career options among students and educators while addressing workforce needs in this region. Southeast WOW is looking for business and industry leaders in the following Career Experience Categories: Agriculture/Agribusiness, Aviation/Aerospace, Construction, Healthcare, Logistics/Transportation, Manufacturing, Public Service/Military & Utilities. Professionals will provide the hands-on experience to students and answer questions over this two day period. Experiences may include positions that are or will be in high demand in our region over the next 10 years. Investor opportunities are available for the event.
