Them: How many can you scan in one day?

Me: How fast can you bring them?🐮👩🏼‍💻🥩

3️⃣6️⃣2️⃣hd today! The first bull rolled at 7am and the last heifer left the chute at 5:30pm. With an hour break for lunch. That’s 1 head every 1 minute and 40 seconds! 😮‍💨

I’m proud to scan for producers where chute time and accuracy still matter!

My most frequently asked question: What are the scanning age ranges for my breed association?

Check out this link from The CUP Lab! It’s VERY handy when figuring out your scanning date windows! I usually start with you oldest animal. Plug in their date of birth. Plug in the maximum age in days that your breed association allows for bulls/heifers/feedlot. Hit “calculate”. As long as we scan on or before the scan date populated we should be good to go! Some breeders will need two sessions to fit everyone in! Let me know how I can help!

Here’s a set I scanned on fat cattle. This set included basic scan data (Ribeye Area, Back Fat, Marbling, Quality Grade) and as a bonus my software has prediction capabilities that allows us to predict Days to Choice, Days to Avg Choice and Days to Yield Grade 4.

This data can help determine who is ready to send and who may need more time on feed.

Weighing this information against cost of gain and feed conversion rates can really help you save time and money.
