On behalf of Harrell’s Funeral Home and Staff, we announce the passing of Curtis “Smokie” Sims, age 61, of Pearson , Georgia. He departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on January 4, 2026.

Public Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Harrell’s Funeral Home located at 400 East Cherry Street Douglas, Georgia 31533 from 2:00pm-6:00pm.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church located at 152 Wilson Street Pearson, Georgia 31642 at 3:00 PM.

Interment will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Crossroads/Oak Grove Church Cemetery located at 411 Crossroads Church Road Pearson, Georgia 31642.

Minister James Sirmans will be delivering the eulogy.

Interment will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at New Salem Church Cemetery located at 485 Ambrose Cemetery Road Ambrose, Georgia 31512.

Repast will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Hightower Memorial Temple located at 915 South Coffee Avenue Douglas GA 31533.

Bishop Willie Williams will be presiding. Bishop Randolph D. Scott will be delivering the eulogy.
