F.A.S.T. is how we come together to end stroke®
Learn the stroke warning signs: F.A.S.T.

F = Face Drooping
A = Arm Weakness
S = Speech Difficulty
T = Time to call 911

Every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. has a stroke.

It could happen on your street, in your workplace, at a store where you shop — anywhere. Your readiness to spot the stroke warning signs and call 911 could save a life or make the difference between a full recovery and long-term disability. That’s why it’s so important to learn the stroke warning signs and urge everyone you know to do the same.

The faster stroke is treated, the more likely the patient is to recover.

The thing to remember is that stroke is largely treatable. It’s a matter of getting the right treatment, right away.

⛳️ What an Incredible Day on the Course! 🌤️

Just last week we held the CRMC Foundation’s 2025 Fall Golf Classic and it was a tremendous success — filled with amazing weather, friendly competition, and community support!

World Stroke Day is Today, October 29 🏥🚑🚨

Along with others around the world, we’re raising awareness of stroke symptoms and emphasizing the critical importance of calling 911 immediately when these symptoms are recognized.

The faster a stroke is treated, the more likely the patient is to recover.

In fact, stroke patients who are treated with the clot-busting drug IV r-tPA Alteplase within 90 minutes of their first symptoms were almost three times more likely to recover with little or no disability.
In some cases, a procedure to remove the clot causing the stroke is also recommended. Ninety-one percent of stroke patients who were treated with a stent retriever within 150 minutes of first symptoms recovered with little or no disability.

The thing to remember is that stroke is largely treatable. It’s a matter of getting the right treatment, right away.

As a participating hospital in the Kids Alliance for Better Care (KidsABC), we are committed to strengthening pediatric emergency care in Coffee County. The alliance, established in 2023, is a collaboration between Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM), its Georgia Rural Health Innovation Center (GRHIC) and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Children’s).

As a rural hospital, we face unique challenges in our ability to treat and keep pediatric patients here at home. KidsABC is focused on improving access to quality pediatric care.

KidsABC helps participating hospitals, like Coffee Regional, acquire child-friendly equipment, complete pediatric-specific emergency care staff training and implement the latest protocols and policies for treating children with critical conditions, such as asthma and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Coffee Regional Medical Center was honored to join Coffee High School’s FFA this week to speak with more than 45 students about ATV and side-by-side safety.

Our community has seen a rise in ATV-related accidents in recent months, and we want to do our part to help prevent injuries by encouraging safe riding practices—always wear a helmet, buckle up, and ride responsibly.

We’re grateful to Coffee High FFA for allowing us to share this important message and continue promoting safety across South Georgia.
