Christmas came to not only the residents, but to the staff too! Our elf really out did it this year! From presents, to tacos, to laughter, and fun!

It takes a village to care for our residents. The staff work hard, with big hearts, day in and day out. They know “their” people. The moms and dads, the grandparents, the stories, the worries, the diagnoses, the tears, the smiles, them. From environmental services, to the dietary staff, the activities department, the nurses, the CNAs, the med techs, the therapy department, the NPs and the medical directors. The office they stop and chat with, the bus driver who takes them to appointments and on adventures, to maintenance as they work on something in the rooms and halls.

Everyone plays an important role, without one department the puzzle isn’t complete; the building doesn’t thrive, because the residents need us all. We don’t just take care of people, we live with them, day in and day out. The relationships we build by taking care of people, that right there is what makes it all worth it.

Thank you, staff. You give so much to our residents and they are blessed because you make the difference.

What a delightful evening spent with family and friends at The Orchards at Douglas Cove. We extend our gratitude to all the families who joined us in celebration tonight and to the staff whose dedication helps create these special moments. We feel truly fortunate. ❤️
