Shining Star Sunday! Today we’re shining a light on Brittney, our Staffing Coordinator. She works tirelessly behind-the-scenes, managing complex schedules and often stepping in during last minute changes to ensure the nursing department is supported and our patients receive the care they need. Thank you, Brittney, for your hard work and all the effort you bring to your role every day!

His positivity and dedication make the unit a place where both staff and adolescents feel supported.

Bill consistently goes above and beyond across the facility. From training to process improvement efforts, he approaches every task with professionalism and heart. His supportive nature, patient centered care and passion for his work make him an invaluable part of our team.

Congratulations, Bryce and Bill! Your commitment, compassion and hard work make a meaningful difference and we’re so grateful to have you on our team.

Acts of kindness and giving back during the holidays bring powerful mental health benefits for both the giver and the receiver. These moments reduce stress, foster a sense of purpose and strengthen social connections.

Generosity helps combat isolation, creates feelings of accomplishment and inspires others, making a lasting impact in our communities. A little kindness truly goes a long way. Let’s lift each other up this holiday season.

Our Business Development team members, Lindsey Huttie and Leah Parrack, along with CEO Karen Fitzhugh and Director of Nursing Shawna Mayles, were proud to attend the Delaware Goes Purple event as a Gold Level Sponsor. This inspiring evening celebrated resilience, recovery and community action as residents, families, leaders and advocates came together to challenge stigma and strengthen support for those impacted by substance use.

The event featured two nationally recognized recovery advocates, Carrie Bates, three-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Tara Conner, former Miss USA, who shared powerful personal stories that continue to drive advocacy, expand access to treatment and show that recovery is possible. We were also honored to hear from Senator Eric Buckson and Miss Teen Delaware, Cali Williams.

We are grateful to Delaware Goes Purple and the Sussex County Health Coalition for hosting such a meaningful event and for allowing us to be part of this important conversation.
