If you know me, you know I love my fur babies.
On March 3rd, my heart shattered as we lost our 5 yr old and my baby girl, Scout. 💔 We thought she has scratched her eye as the night of 3/2 she seemed like if you touched near her right eye it hurt her. The next morning she wouldn’t get up off our bed or open her eyes. My husband carried her downstairs and put her in the back of my car. I knew something was horribly wrong. We dropped the kids off at school. She had a horrible seizure in the back of my car. The day was a blur. Thank goodness for the earth angels at Port City Vet Hospital. 💓 By 4:00 pm she stopped breathing. They intubated her and kept hand-bagging her to keep her breathing until I could get there to say goodbye.
Anyone who knew Scout knew she was pure joy. A “here I am!”, kind of girl! 🌼
We have had a hard almost 2 weeks. It’s very soon, but our oldest dog (Timber) seemed lost without his sunshine sibling. We brought home this little lady to keep Timber on his toes and keep him company.
We will always love and miss you, Scout! ❤️🩹 Thank you for reminding us to find joy in the little things, tell people you love them and to live and enjoy the present.
I’m convinced you sent us “Junie” from your side of the Rainbow Bridge. We feel so lucky! 🍀 🌈
Thank you to everyone who has called/texted/send cards and gifts as we navigate Scout’s loss. 🫶 It has meant the world!
