Hello Everyone! I hope this finds you and your loved ones healthy and well!
Governor Sununu decided this afternoon that massage therapy will not be included in phase one of the re-opening. This means I will not be able to provide massage until May 31st, at the soonest. I am trying to remain optimistic that by the end of the month, I will be able to start taking appointments. Maine has shut down massage until July 1st. I am hoping NH will not follow suit and we will be in a better position by then. A few of you have reached out and are ready for your bodywork. I sincerely wish I could help you. Not being able to work for such a long time, and now with the extension, is starting to take a mental toll on me. I love what I do and I miss you all!!
That being said, moving forward, things might be a little different at our next appointment. I will be following CDC guidelines, as well as implementing new practices as advised by my professional association. If we were to open today, I would ask that none of you come in if you, or someone you live with has been exposed to Covid19. I may ask, or screen for fever. You might be asked to wait in your car until I call you inside for your appointment. I will not be taking appointments back-to-back. They will be spread out to allow extra time for cleaning and to minimize the amount of people in the waiting room. This means my appointments will be limited to start. I will be wearing a mask. I will have disposable masks available for you. I will also have gloves available should you be more comfortable with me wearing them. Dr. Mattheson has purchased an air purifier for the room. We plan on providing you with the best evidence based practice that is available at the time. Of course, recommendations are fluid and subject to change over the next month.
I wish you all well, not just physically, but mentally. These are difficult times for all of us.... not working, still having to work, working from home, homeschooling, not seeing friends and family... especially difficult for our elderly loved ones who may feel isolated and lonely, rations at the grocery store, housebound and getting stir crazy, etc. We are living history right now. It is amazing and stressful. Even though you can't get your massage right now, if you are feeling stressed, please take some time to decompress in other ways and know that I will be here for you as you as I can! Stay Well!
✌️ 💖 😊 Jennifer
P.S I will reach out again as we approach the 31st.
