Lacey Creek Supportive Living is an affordable assisted living community that serves older adults of all incomes. The three-story, 108,000 square-foot building houses 120 private studio and one-bedroom apartments. Each of the private apartments at Lacey Creek feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning units and an emergency alert system. In addition, the community includes a full-service kitchen, formal dining room, movie theater and fitness area. Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It continues the company's mission of providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve and also provides help with medications and other personal assistance. Downers Grove officials praised the project, saying the supportive living community is a much-needed solution for a village that has a growing number of seniors and no housing options for them. Soon, they said, Downers Grove will become a community where residents can age in place without having to worry about moving away after retirement. Lacey Creek joins more than 40 other communities managed by Gardant. Gardant is the largest assisted living provider in Illinois and the 12th largest provider in the nation.
