This Thanksgiving, we’re holding space for the full spectrum—joy, grief, gratitude, and everything in between. Holiday reminder: you’re allowed to protect your peace.
Here are the boundaries you can use:

✨ It’s okay to say no.
✨ If conversations get intense, I can choose to end them.
✨ I don’t have to stay the whole time.
✨ I’m allowed to take breaks when I need them.
✨ I don’t have to explain or justify my choices.

If stillness brings guilt or anxiety, that’s your nervous system stuck in “doing mode”—often reinforced by people-pleasing (the fawn response). Boundaries are how we teach our bodies that rest is safe.

Try one today: no email after 7pm, coffee before chores, a 60-second breath, or “I’m at capacity this week.” Small + consistent > big + rare.

People-pleasing isn’t peacekeeping — it’s self-abandonment in disguise.
When you say “yes” with a tight chest, stay quiet to avoid conflict, or replay conversations in your head… your body feels the cost.

Real peace begins the moment you stop betraying yourself to keep others comfortable and start honoring what you need — even when it feels unfamiliar or scary.
Choosing yourself isn’t selfish. It’s self-respect. 💛
