History

Established in 1929 by Ray and Evelyn Adams, who were later joined by Fred and Wilma Winterfield, Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan has been serving the families of Downers Grove and the surrounding communities with exceptional personal and professional care.

The business was purchased in 1984 by the Sullivan family, owners and operators of a funeral home in the Marquette Manor area of Chicago since 1924. The Sullivan family is proud of their now four generations of funeral service to families. That heritage, together with the Adams-Winterfield tradition, has shaped our commitment to the families we serve - that is, we are more than a building or a business...we are a resource.
