I finally had some spare time in the lab to finish this today. It is a cat's eye for my daughter made to match her recently lost fur baby's eyes. It will reside in a memory box.

Here is a rare collections of glass artificial eyes created around 1880 to educate young eye doctors about different eye conditions. What a treasure! I don't own it, but am glad it exists as a part of my profession's history.

We wanted to take a moment to appreciate the history of ocularists and artificial eye makers like this glass eye maker from 1910-1915. Looking back at where we started often gives us an appreciation of whats come to be common practice now. Don't you guys just love old artifacts like this?
