The South East Association for Special Parks And Recreation (SEASPAR) provides dynamic recreation programs and quality services for individuals with disabilities served by the park districts of Clarendon Hills, Darien, Downers Grove, La Grange, La Grange Park, Lemont, Lisle, Westmont, and Woodridge, and the villages of Brookfield, Indian Head Park, and Western Springs, Illinois. Our page provides an opportunity for you to connect, share, and communicate with SEASPAR and fellow fans. We expect all of the interactions on our Page to be pertinent, respectful, and appropriate for a public forum. We have the right to remove content from our Page which falls into one or more of the following categories:

1. Comments not topically related to the particular content being commented upon;
2. Profane or sexual language, links, or content;
3. Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, age, religion, gender, marital status, disability, or sexual orientation;

🏊‍♂️✨ SEASPAR Swim Meet: A Day of Leadership, Heart, and Outstanding Performances! ✨🏊‍♀️

Last Saturday, SEASPAR hosted a Swim Meet at that families described as exceptionally well organized — a true showcase of leadership, teamwork, and community spirit.

Even with the freezing temperatures outside, our athletes showed incredible resilience. Wrapped in towels, cheering for one another, and waiting patiently for their turn, they demonstrated the heart that defines inclusive sports. And once they hit the water, they gave everything they had.

We were proud to share the pool with our fellow agencies:
FVSRA, NWCSRA, NWSRA, and WDSRA.
Thank you for bringing your talent, sportsmanship, and energy to this memorable meet.

🏈 Spartan Strong from Regionals to State! 💪💙

Our incredible SEASPAR Spartans Flag Football teams brought the energy this season! 🔥

At the Regional Tournament:
🔹 Spartans Blue finished strong in 3rd place
🔹 Spartans White earned a spot at the Special Olympics Illinois State Tournament—and on November 1, they powered through the competition to bring home 2nd place in their division! 🥈🎉

These teams didn’t just play the game—they played with heart ❤️, sportsmanship 🤝, and the unstoppable spirit that makes SEASPAR proud.

🌟 This month, we're celebrating the amazing Jackson Jordan! 🌟

Jackson is a powerhouse on our Steel Power Soccer team ⚽—not just for his skills, but for his heart. He's the first to welcome new players, offer guidance, and make sure everyone feels part of the game. 🙌 His sportsmanship is unmatched, and his positive attitude lifts the entire team! 💪✨

But that’s not all—Jackson also takes 🎹 piano lessons with the wonderful Nancy Urban, who calls him a total sweetheart and a joy to teach. 🎶

His creativity, leadership, and kindness make him a standout in everything he does.

🎳 Bowling for the WIN! 🎉

Our SEASPAR athletes made us proud at the Special Olympics Illinois Sectional Bowling Tournament on Sunday, October 26!

👏 Fabian Piedra bowled his way to a third-place finish, while Eti Schaffer earned first place—qualifying her for the State Tournament! 🥇🎳

Eti, from Downers Grove, holds a special place in our hearts as SEASPAR’s most senior Special Olympics athlete. Her victory is not just a win on the lanes—it’s a powerful reminder that inclusion and determination never age. 💙✨
