Did You Know About the Size of the Lymphatic System?
www.lymphatics.net/promo.asp

National Lymphatic Centers shares this important educational reminder ✨

Many people are surprised to learn that the lymphatic system is nearly twice the size of the blood circulation system and manages almost double the volume of fluid each day. This is precisely why proper Lymph Drainage technique, direction, and sequencing matter. When lymphatic flow is compromised, fluid accumulation, swelling, and inflammation may follow.

At National Lymphatic Centers, education is intentional. Lymph Drainage is approached with medical precision, grounded in anatomy and physiology, and applied only when appropriate. NLC remains selective, focusing on draining inflammation through clinically informed Lymph Drainage rather than generalized wellness care. Established in 1991, this is the National Lymphatic Centers standard.

Questions about Lymph Drainage, Swelling, or Lymphedema care may be directed to the NLC team for appropriate guidance. You may text (630) 828-6582, emailed to thenlcfrontdesk@gmail.com, or posted in the comment section below.

Did You Know There Is Post-Op Surgery Care?
www.lymphatics.net/promo.asp

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

National Lymphatic Centers shares this important educational reminder ✨

Post-operative swelling, fluid retention, and inflammation are not random. They are direct responses of the lymphatic system following surgical trauma. Procedures such as Cecarean, Hysterectomy, Abdominoplasty, Panniculectomy, Body Lift, Liposuction, Breast Lift, Explant Removal, Bleph and Facelift surgeries significantly impact lymphatic flow, which is why clinically informed Lymph Drainage is critical during recovery.

At National Lymphatic Centers, Post-Op Lymphatic Drainage Massage is never generalized. Each protocol is thoughtfully selected based on the surgeon's self care discharge papers, surgical procedure, healing phase, tissue response, and medical appropriateness. Proper technique, direction, and sequencing help reduce inflammation, support tissue healing, and assist the body’s natural recovery processes.

Education has been the foundation of NLC since 1991. Care is delivered with medical precision, grounded in anatomy and physiology, and applied only when appropriate. NLC remains selective, focusing on draining inflammation through clinically informed Lymph Drainage rather than routine wellness massage.

Questions about Post-Op Lymph Drainage, Swelling, or Surgical Recovery may be directed to the NLC team for appropriate guidance. You may text (630) 828-6582, email thenlcfrontdesk@gmail.com, or post in the comment section below.

✨ FAQ Time
→ Will I experience herxing after Lymph Drainage treatments?

Q: Clients often ask whether after Lymph Drainage Massage they will feel herxing, which is that feeling of being sick with flu like symptoms, especially when Lyme disease, autoimmune conditions, or lymphatic congestion are involved.

A: Herxing is not the goal of proper Lymph Drainage. At National Lymphatic Centers, treatment always begins at the venous angle and terminus, never at the feet. Drainage starts in small, controlled areas such as the clavicle, sternum, axillary underarms, head and cranium, then progresses in a precise sequence through the arms, thoracic region, abdomen, and legs.

This orderly approach allows lymphatic load to be processed gradually through the lymph nodes, preventing inflammation from being pushed into circulation all at once. The objective is clean, controlled drainage—moving debris to the dustpan, not creating a dust cloud. This method is part of the trademarked Vogel Method of MLD, which is the NLC standard at all of our locations, established in 1991.

Did You Know These Can Be Signs You Need Lymph Drainage?
www.lymphatics.net/promo.asp

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Lymphatic congestion does not always present as visible swelling alone. In many cases, the body shows subtle or systemic signs that the lymphatic system is under strain.

Common indicators may include a history of surgery, scar tissue, radiation, chemotherapy, or Lyme disease, as well as symptoms such as brain fog, skin changes, fibromyalgia-related discomfort, and persistent swelling. These signs often reflect impaired lymphatic movement rather than isolated symptoms.

Lymph Drainage is not a general wellness service. At National Lymphatic Centers, care is reserved for clients who are appropriate for outpatient Lymph Drainage and who require educated, medically informed intervention to address lymphatic congestion and inflammation.

Each licensed massage therapist and certified lymphedema therapist CLT provides precise, intentional care based on lymphatic anatomy and clinical presentation. Established in 1991, this is the National Lymphatic Centers standard.

✨ FAQ Time
→ Will I experience herxing after Lymph Drainage treatments?

Q: Clients often ask whether Lymph Drainage can cause herxing, especially when Lyme disease, autoimmune conditions, or lymphatic congestion are involved.

A: Herxing is not the goal of proper Lymph Drainage. At National Lymphatic Centers, treatment is performed in a very specific, medically informed sequence to avoid overwhelming the lymphatic system. Care always begins at the venous angle and terminus, not at the feet.

Starting in small, strategic areas such as the head and cranium allows lymphatic load to be processed gradually through the lymph nodes. From there, treatment progresses in an orderly manner. Head, arms, thoracic region, abdomen, then legs. This prevents debris from being pushed into circulation all at once.

The objective is controlled, efficient drainage, moving inflammation cleanly to the dustpan, not creating a dust cloud. When performed correctly, this method supports lymphatic processing without triggering herxing responses.

At National Lymphatic Centers, treatments are selective, precise, and designed to drain inflammation safely. This structured approach is part of the NLC standard, established in 1991.
