Sometimes the bravest thing we do isn’t pushing forward — it’s returning.

This week on the blog, Kylie Grogan reflects on the quiet courage it takes to begin again — to step back onto the mat without comparison or pressure, and to meet yourself exactly as you are.

If you’ve been considering returning to practice, trying something new, or simply softening expectations, her words may resonate.

Some teachers enter your life not with a loud introduction, but with a presence you feel before you understand it.

This week on the blog, we’re sharing a Teacher Spotlight on Steve “Stony” Hallenbeck—a longtime musician and audiologist whose yoga teaching is rooted in listening: to breath, to sound, and to the quiet signals of the body.

Stony’s approach to yoga is invitational and accessible, with an emphasis on nervous-system settling, thoughtful pacing, and curiosity rather than effort. On Saturday mornings, he and Marla Mothershead alternate teaching Foundations Flow, a class designed to return to basics with steadiness and care—a supportive place to begin (or begin again).

As we step into 2026, Laura Jane shares a quiet reflection on memory, meditation, and the places where we discover what it truly means to feel at home—within ourselves and within community. Her latest blog is an invitation to begin the year not by striving, but by remembering what steadies us when life feels uncertain.
Alongside her reflection, our January newsletter includes gentle workshops, restorative gatherings, and supportive practices to help you settle into the new year with presence and care. We invite you to read, linger, and follow what feels nourishing. 🤍
