I received my renewed business license yesterday, and it took me back to the early days, when many people tried to discourage me from leaving my career to open a small business.

At the time, it was hard not to take those warnings personally. Now, with a little more age and perspective, I understand they weren’t speaking from malice. They were speaking from fear. A fear rooted in the comfort of what was familiar and certain.

As I reflect on these past 14 years, I want to pause, as I do every anniversary, to thank each and every member—past and present—who has been part of this journey. None of this would have been possible without your continued support, patience, and dedication. I don’t take that for granted. I appreciate all of you.
•
Lastly, I want to encourage you to take calculated risks, to step into the unknown, and to pursue the aspirations that matter to you. We all know that death is the only certainty in life, yet none of us knows how much time we have left. So get out there. Chase your goals. Don’t be afraid to fail. If you’re going to be afraid of anything, be afraid of disappointing your future self.

Keep showing up, even when it feels impossible, your future self will thank you.
