Over 290 lives were lost in a tragic airplane crash in India. 😭
The plane was flying to Gatwick, London.
Gatwick was also the destination of my very first flight, 21 years ago. I was 23 — a young woman traveling solo for the first time in her life, immigrating to Pittsburgh to build a life of her own. Until that day, I had never stepped foot outside my home alone.
I still remember the feeling of lifting off — the quiet hope in my heart, wonder in my eyes,
dreams of possibilities unknown to my mind. This was my first experience of feeling freedom.
Today, my heart aches for the passengers who never made it to their destination.
For the dreams that were cut short.
The families now living with a sudden void.
The trauma experienced and prayers that were whispered mid-air.
Life is so fragile. 💔
I hold this moment with reverence — and I’m reminded that every journey is sacred. Whether it’s across the world, or the quiet transition of the soul.
May the souls lost be held in peace.
And may we never take for granted the miracle of coming home —
to our loved ones,
to our breath,
to ourselves.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti 🙏
May there be peace in our hearts, peace in our homes, and peace on this Earth. 🤍
