A Child's Light

A Child's Light A Child’s Light provides expedited mental health support for children and adolescents, ages 2 to 18, who have experienced severe trauma.

A Child’s Light provides no-cost, expedited trauma-informed therapy for children ages 2–18 who have experienced abuse or trauma—helping the most vulnerable children heal, thrive, and reclaim their childhood. Founded in Chester County, Pennsylvania, we work closely with law enforcement, schools, and community partners to identify children in crisis and connect them quickly and compassionately with licensed trauma therapists. Following best practices and funding both pre-licensed and licensed therapists with trauma-informed training, children receive the resources and tools they need to shift their severe trauma experiences from defining their present to becoming a part of their past. All therapy sessions are fully funded by A Child’s Light, removing barriers such as cost, long waitlists, and confusion for families already facing overwhelming challenges. Because healing from trauma isn’t just about therapy—it’s about restoring hope, trust, and a sense of safety, we exist to ensure no child carries the weight of trauma alone. With your support, we can shine a light into the darkness and give every child the chance to heal, thrive, and reclaim their future. Ways to Give:

We would like to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you to Officer Simmons for joining us at our Coffee with a Cop event this past Friday!

Her warmth, energy, and genuine love for being involved and serving our community were truly inspiring. We have loved participating in the events Officer Simmons puts together, such as Community Day and National Night Out, and are grateful for the opportunities to connect with the community through them. We look forward to collaborating even more in 2026.

Thank you for your continued service and dedication to our community and our children.
