⛳️ 140 golfers. 4 days of golf. Llama extravaganza. 1 epic trip. And Dr. Amanda had the honor of being the on-site Physical Therapist.

This weekend was all about keeping bodies moving, swinging, and recovering strong 💪

Before tee time:
✔️ Targeted mobility + dynamic stretching
✔️ Pre-round muscle activation
✔️ Therapeutic massage to loosen tight hips, T-spines & shoulders

After the 18th hole:
✔️ Recovery compression boots
✔️ Cupping for tissue decompression
✔️ Dry needling to calm down overworked muscles
✔️ Soft tissue work to reset for the next round

Golf may not look high-impact, but 4+ hours of rotation and repetitive swing mechanics adds up quickly. Taking care of the body isn’t just for elite athletes — it’s for anyone who wants to play better and feel better.

InstaCare is growing and is proud to announce the addition of our newest team member, Dr. Erica Brooks, PT, DPT!

Dr. Erica comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and advanced certifications to add to the high caliber clinicians at InstaCare.

She graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from University of the Sciences and for her undergraduate degree attended Penn State!

She has a patient for all orthopedic issues but especially enjoys treating the spine.

Outside of work Dr. Erica enjoys spending time with her family, staying physically active with HIIT work outs, weight training and traveling- especially to different National Parks!

🔥 3 Core Exercises You Need in Your Routine 🔥
If you want better posture, less back pain, and stronger lifts… start with your CORE. These 3 moves are simple, effective, and PT-approved:

1️⃣ Dead Bugs
3 sets × 8–12 reps/side
→ Teaches true core control + protects your low back

2️⃣ Plank Pull-Through (with weight)
3 sets × 10–12 reps
→ Builds anti-rotation strength for real-world stability

3️⃣ Bear Crawl ISO Hold
3 sets × 20–30 seconds

A few minutes of mobility work in the morning can make a huge difference in how your body feels the rest of the day. It helps wake up your joints, improve circulation, and reduce stiffness from sleep or sitting.

Here’s a simple 3-move routine we love at InstaCare Physical Therapy ⤵️

🐈 Cat-Cow – Loosens up the spine, improves posture, and gets blood flowing through the back and shoulders.
🦵 90/90 Hip Switch – Opens up the hips, improves rotation, and preps your lower body for movement.
⚡ Sciatic Nerve Glide – Keeps your nervous system mobile, reducing tension or “tightness” that travels down the leg.
