Monday Morning at The Portal. ☀️
A different way to begin the week.

This half-day container is designed to help you regulate your system, clear mental noise, and orient the week from a grounded place. We begin with a guided somatic clarity practice with and then the space opens for quiet work, reflection, conversation, or rest—without an agenda and without pressure.

Presence is not passive.

I’m intentional about the spaces I create because transformation doesn’t come from force or urgency.

It comes from conditions that allow change to emerge naturally.

This room holds that.

This morning we kicked off another phase of change in The Vessel. Clear intentions. Real conversations. The container set.

Then I went to lunch with a friend.
Now I’m back, feet up, coffee in hand.

This is the work.

Not urgency.
Not over-scheduling.
Not grinding until something gives.

Clarity comes from nervous system safety.
Good decisions come from space.
Sustainable leadership comes from knowing when to stop.

I build environments where the work can happen —
and then I let it breathe.

If your body is fried, your strategy will be too.
If you’re constantly “on,” you’re not actually leading.

This is how I do work now.
And it works. ☕️✨

Most people either force decisions too early or never make them at all.

Both come from the same place: discomfort with the unknown.

And right now? The unknown is louder than it’s been in a long time.

We’re living through a period of significant transition. Old structures aren’t holding the way they used to. Identities are shifting. Certainty feels harder to access. People can sense that something needs to change, but the usual ways of deciding don’t feel reliable anymore.

This is not a moment for rushing.
And it’s not a moment for avoidance.

It’s a moment that requires discernment.

That’s why this work matters now.

I don’t rush clarity, and I don’t let things quietly fester. I recognize the stages of change — the dissonance, the unraveling, the emotional weight, the void where nothing is clear yet — and I know how to create the conditions where clarity can emerge honestly.

That’s what Residency is.

A One-Day Residency at The Portal is an intentional container for this exact moment — for people who are circling something and want to move through uncertainty without forcing or freezing.

Through guided exercises, structured reflection, and succinct sharing, you’ll leave knowing what this moment is asking of you:
to move forward,
to wait,
or to let something go.

When the world is shifting, clarity isn’t something you push for.

It’s something you make space for.

One-Day Residency at The Portal

01/25/2026

Here’s why we all need space.

Because when every day is filled with responsibility — work, family, decisions, noise — there’s no room left to hear yourself think. No room to ask real questions. No room to notice what’s been quietly asking for your attention.

I’ve had to step away from my job, my roles, my obligations — not permanently, not dramatically — but intentionally. I needed space to listen. To question. To consider. To contemplate. To plan, review, research, and eventually execute.

This is my only life too.

And I know there’s a woman watching this who’s already dreading the next snow day. Not because she hates snow — but because it means one more day of holding everything together for everyone else.

It doesn’t take blowing up your life.

It takes a few dedicated hours that belong to you.

No agenda unless you want one.
Make art. Read. Journal. Nap. Listen to music.
Sit by yourself in a room and let your system settle.

You’re allowed to take space.
And when you do, everything changes.

Gratitude Daily

Chelan Vanno, founder of Infinite Illumination Yoga, is a certified instructor of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. She received her certification from the Kundalini Research Institute in 2018 and has studied with some of the most renowned instructors in the country. Her lead teacher was Kartar Khalsa, who has received many honors, including being named as the International Kundalini Yoga Teacher Association’s Teacher of the Year in 2014. She received additional instruction in sound and mantra from internationally known recording artist Sat Purkh Kaur Khalsa, and training in posture and alignment from Siri Sat Kaur, founder of Kundalini Yatras Inc.

As a mother and business professional, Chelan was in search of a way to find balance and peace in her life. In an attempt to overcome some personal struggles, she attended a wellness retreat in 2017 that featured Kundalini Yoga. The experience had a profound impact and inspired her to dive deep into its practices and spiritual principles. The transformational shifts this evoked, led to an undeniable need to share the benefits of Kundalini Yoga with others.

She now finds fulfillment and joy in enlightening her own students on these ancient practices, sharing techniques that can be used in everyday life to release stress, find emotional balance and awaken intuition. Her classes, which consist of breathing techniques, physical practices and mantra meditation, are aimed at building physical vitality and expanding consciousness.
