It's World Float Day!
January 6, 2026 — Today we celebrate floating and the people who make this practice so meaningful.
World Float Day falls on January 6th in recognition of John C. Lilly, whose early exploration of sensory deprivation helped lay the groundwork for what we now know as float therapy. While floating has evolved in beautiful ways, this day invites us to pause and reflect on the power of stillness.
This year’s reminder feels especially simple — and especially needed:
Float Today.
Float Often.
Return to Stillness.
Whether it’s your very first float, your first one in a while, or one of many, World Float Day is an invitation to come back to the practice — to carve out space, quiet the noise, and reconnect with yourself… again and again. 🩵
Return to Stillness.
We’ll hold the space.
