November is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month.

Studies show oral bacteria like Porphyromonas gingivalis and its toxins (gingipains) are associated with neuroinflammation and amyloid-β buildup in Alzheimer’s patients.
People with chronic gum disease or tooth loss have shown over twice the risk of developing Alzheimer’s (PMID 39860036).
