We are growing at breakneck speeds at Drexel Kids Child Development Center, and we are hiring!

Position: Child Care Teacher

Employment Type: Full-Time

About Us:
Drexel Kids Child Development Center is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, loving, and educational environment for children. We prioritize the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child and seek a compassionate, skilled Child Care Provider to join our team. We offer full-time and part-time services to families Monday through Friday each week, from 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM.

Position Overview:
The Child Care Provider will be responsible for the daily supervision, care, and guidance of children within the center. This role involves creating engaging, age-appropriate activities, ensuring each child’s well-being, and fostering a positive, supportive learning environment. Drexel Kids staff will ensure a safe and educational environment. The person chosen for this position will work closely with the director to develop curriculum, communicate with parents, and uphold the center and church’s reputation. Drexel Kids is a ministry of First Church of God of Drexel.

Preferred Qualifications:

North Carolina Early Childhood Credential and/or an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education,
Previous experience in a child care or early learning environment is an asset.
CPR, First Aid, DCDEE Criminal Background check qualifying letter.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of child development principles and safety practices.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
Plan and implement activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
Provide basic care routines, including feeding, dressing, and hygiene assistance as needed.
Maintain open, positive communication with parents/guardians and staff.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Maintain compliance with NC Childcare laws and regulations
