Scar revisions can be hard for patients. In essence it is starting over. While some scars can be improved with time and laser, some scars are best addressed surgically. The scar is removed and meticulous reconstruction is performed. Basically you are trading a bad scar for a good scar. It takes time, but is often worth it. Note: The lighting is different in the second photo since I saw her at a satellite office without a photo room for her final post-op visit.

Nobody wants to look “done” after getting plastic surgery. This is especially true with my male patients. For this patient I did an upper and lower blepharoplasty. He looks great and even better is that no one looking at him can tell he’s had surgery. I included a few photos with different lighting for comparison.

Bruised, swollen and… beautiful. Everyone responds to surgery differently. This patient is one week out from an upper and lower eyelid surgery. It is normal to have bruising and swelling that is noticeable for 1-3 weeks. After that most people look and feel great, but it can take 3-6 months to get full results. Scars can improve up to 1-2 years. Scar cream, sun protection, and lasers can help improve more visible scars.

One of my favorite surgeries to perform is a combination upper and lower eyelid procedure. This patient had an upper blepharoplasty covered by insurance due to her medical need, and she chose to enhance her lower eyelids at the same time. While lower eyelid blepharoplasty isn’t covered by insurance, pairing the two procedures is a fantastic way to achieve a refreshed, natural look with one recovery. End of day 1 at Texas Eye Aesthetics! Thank you for everyone who got us this far. Today was our soft opening and we are fully open for patients. We will have a grand opening on September 5th!

Brow lifts need to be customized to what the patient wants, and there is no one perfect approach. This patient wanted specifically the tail of the brow to lift. I did a temporal brow lift with an incision hidden in her hair. She is only 1 week post op in the bottom photos and already loving her results!
