It is with deep love and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Joan E. (Dunlap) Spafford, who left us peacefully in the early hours of January 29, 2026, at the age of 90, in the care and comfort of the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born on November 14, 1935, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late David and Florence (Overdorf) Dunlap.
Joan lived a life defined by compassion, faith, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. She was a devoted military wife, a proud mother and grandmother, and a woman of strength and steadfast determination. Her heart was one of endless giving — she found joy in caring for others and always put family at the center of everything she did.
