It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband and father, Joseph Carl Caliari, aged 86, of Weedville, PA who passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born on July 27, 1939 in Force, PA, he was the son of the late Domenico and Guistina (Fenice) Caliari.
Joe graduated from Weedville High School, the Class of 1958.
He served in the US Army Reserves as a Sargent with the 429th Replacement Company and Battery B of the 4th Howitzer Battalion in St. Marys from 1963-1969.
He was employed by Carbon City Products and retired in 2001 after 42 years of service.
On July 11, 1964, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Force, PA, he married Diane (Gallagher) Caliari. She survives. Together they were blessed with 61 years of marriage and built a home that was rooted in love and faith.
Joe was a hardworking man whose life was guided by his strong Catholic faith. He was a life-long parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Force, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He loved the outdoors, gardening, and had a passion for cooking.
In addition to his loving wife, Joe is survived by two children, Tanya Witherson and husband Ben of Weedville, PA and a son Jeffrey Caliari and his husband Jason Addison, MD of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by two sisters, Gloria Pasi and her husband Ed of Brandy Camp, PA and Nancy Chiappelli and her husband Donald of Force, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 27th at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Mastrian as celebrant. Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the Bennetts Valley Honor Guard from the church.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to the Bennetts Valley Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 48, Penfield, PA 15849 and/or the Bennetts Valley Senior Center, 149 Plum St., Weedville, PA15868.

Beverly E. Thomas, age 87 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on November 2, 1938 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and June (Troy) McLaughlin.

On August 13, 1958 she married her husband of 67 years, Wayne E. Thomas. He survives.

Beverly was a homemaker. She retired from the DuBois Nursing Home Dietary Department after many years of service. After her retirement, she took on the most important “job” of caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Together with her husband, Beverly had been very active in the Bible Fellowship Church, and Community Bible Church in Rockton. They led church youth groups on many summer trips.

Along with her husband, Beverly is survived by her children (Joel Thomas and his wife Sandra of DuBois, PA, Penny Buterbaugh and her husband Ken of Colorado Springs, CO, Juanita Painter of DuBois, PA, and Nicole Thomas of Chestnut Grove, PA), twenty-four grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and one sister (Flora Mae LeClair of Tarpon Springs, FL).

She was preceded in death by one grandson (Joel Thomas, Jr.)

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 4 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 11 AM from the funeral home with Brian Spencer officiating.

Burial will be in Luthersburg Union Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Bible Fellowship Church, 6706 Chestnut Grove Highway, Luthersburg, PA 15848.

Helen E. Woodrow, Age 91 of DuBois, PA died peacefully Friday, March 20, 2026 at the home of her daughter.
Born on March 3, 1935 in Henderson Township, Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Freda (Crytzer) Haag.
She was married to Arlee R. Blose who preceded her in death on July 2, 1966.
Helen retired from the DuBois Holiday Inn after 15 years of service. Previous to that, she had worked at Rola Jensen.
She enjoyed sitting on her chair with her buddies, Festus, Bandit, and Otis watching the birds and the Hallmark Channel.
Helen is survived by her two children (Judy Aughenbaugh and her husband Buster and Thomas R. “Woody” Woodrow, both of DuBois, PA), a sister (Dorothy Johns and her husband Forest of Brockway, PA), four step grandchildren, twelve step great grandchildren, and 1 step great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter (Janet Darlene Blose).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A private funeral service will be held.
Burial will follow in McClure Cemetery, Big Run, PA

Debra M. “Debbie” Kephart, age 66 of Bigler, PA died Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on June 10, 1959 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of the late Blair and Cynthia (Phillips) Condon.

She was married to R. Keith Kephart for 48 years. He survives.

Debbie was a homemaker and had previously worked at Kent’s Sportswear. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished relative, and loyal friend whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was known for her wisdom and her unwavering commitment to doing what was right in every situation, offering thoughtful guidance and steady reassurance to anyone who needed it. Compassionate and intelligent, Debbie had an extraordinary memory and a unique ability to make others feel truly seen and understood. Her warmth, strength, and unmistakable spirit made her unforgettable, and the memories she created—along with the wisdom she shared—will be treasured by those who loved her forever.

She is survived by her children Aaron Kephart and his wife Tina of Punxsutawney, PA, and Chandler Kephart (Billianna) of Brookville, PA, a step grandson Ryan Peace, a sister Judy Dixon of West Decatur, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Janet Condon, and one brother Blair Condon, Jr.

Honoring Debbie’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.

Burial will take place in Bigler Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
