City of Hope Sheri & Les Biller Patient and Family Resource Center The Sheri & Les Biller Patient and Family Resource Center embodies the heart and soul of City of Hope

Located in the heart of the City of Hope campus, the Biller Patient and Family Resource Center is a warm and welcoming space where patients, families, and caregivers access the resources, education and support they need to strengthen and empower themselves before, during and after treatment. An international model of integrated, interdisciplinary care, the Biller Patient and Family Resource Center offers one of the most comprehensive array of support services in the country. Our supportive care medicine team – over 80 strong – includes patient navigators, pain and palliative care physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, spiritual care chaplains, child life specialists, yoga and meditation practitioners, art and music therapists, wellness and educational workshops, peer support groups, health information, nutrition education, practical resource support, and much more. The Biller Patient and Family Resource Center’s comfortable seating, beautiful artwork, and outdoor garden atrium create a comforting and relaxing environment. The Center houses an extensive library of educational materials; a computer center; wireless internet access; private family meeting rooms; and a state-of-the-art activity room hosting a robust calendar of free classes and support groups.

⚖️ The Legal Self-Help Clinic on our Duarte campus is open this Thursday, July 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Visiting the clinic will provide you the opportunity to:
- Speak directly with attorneys from the Cancer Legal Resource Center (CLRC)
- Take home English and Spanish print materials
- Learn about assistance for specific legal issues through the CLRC Telephone Assistance Line

Our Women’s Cancers Support Group meets virtually every second Tuesday of each month, 5 to 6:30 p.m. PT. Please attend if you’ve been diagnosed with breast or gynecological cancer in the past year!

- Meet City of Hope oncology counselor Lisa Donley-Lanyi, LMFT.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is hosting its annual SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BLOOD CANCER CONFERENCE on SATURDAY, MARCH 25th at the ANAHEIM MARRIOTT.

The program is IN-PERSON again this year, allowing patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, and healthcare professionals to learn more about blood cancer treatment options, emerging therapies, managements of survivorship issues, LLS resources, while also connecting with others in their community.

Dr. Michael Rosenzweig, MD, MS from City of Hope will be presenting on Multiple Myeloma.

Are you having chronic pain after cancer treatment?

We are pleased to invite you to City of Hope’s Cancer Pain Rehabilitation Program. The Cancer Pain Rehabilitation Program combines a virtual therapy group, educational videos, in-person individualized one-on-one physical therapy, occupational therapy and osteopathic manipulative treatment to help you manage chronic pain in a holistic way.

How will you benefit from this program?
• Increase your physical functioning and participation in meaningful activities, such as work, school or social life.
• Improve your mood, sleep and self-esteem.
• Gain new skills and strategies for living with chronic pain.
• Find a community while learning with other cancer survivors who understand chronic pain.
• Learn about how biological, psychological, emotional and social factors influence chronic pain.
• Decrease reliance on opioids, which may have harmful long-term effects.
• Improve communication about your pain with health care providers, family and friends.

We are pleased to announce the Women's Cancers Support Group (Virtual) at City of Hope.

This group is for people diagnosed with Stage 1, 2 or 3 breast or gynecologic cancer in the last 12 months.

Join us to share with others who are going through the same challenges. Find and give support, and increase feelings of hope. Find community, and reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety and distress. Learn new ways of coping. This group is intended to provide an opportunity for mutual sharing and support.
