📢Long, thankful post:
5 years ago, I was 42 years old, just finished getting my Massage Therapy license and opened Emerald Ease! After teaching school for 14 years, I wanted a change. We purchased the space in the historic Fred Roberts building Downtown and with the help of my family, we transformed it into 4 therapy rooms. I dreamed of owning my own practice. I knew nothing about running a business, marketing, advertising, hiring, training, managing people, business/employer taxes, or how to turn a profit. (Thankfully, my husband is an accountant and helps with the financial decisions of being a business owner.) Over these past 5 years, we've made some amazing friends who are like family. I've had the experience to work along side some of the absolute BEST licensed therapists. We've worked hard together, laughed together, and been through life together! I appreciate my EE team so much! Without therapists, I don't have a business. The team that works at EE literally makes my business what it is. I'm very select in hiring people who represent my business; my family name. Each one brings their own personality, strengths, skills, techniques & style. They are dedicated, dependable, hard working, honest, experienced, and so much fun to work with- just amazing! Coleen, Codi, Natalie, Van, & Autumn- THANK YOU!!!Also, I appreciate our clients so much! Over these 5 years, we've gained over 3,550 client profiles (WOW)! These clients are all different: some visit weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly, on special occasions, buy gift certificates, or call us for corporate chair massages. ✔️I wanted a more flexible work schedule so I could be more present with / available to my husband & girls
✔️I wanted a less stressful job
✔️I am intrigued with the human body and wanted to help people relax and relieve pain
✔️I needed to earn $ so my girls can go to UGA
✔️ I love Dublin/Laurens Co. it's where we've raised our family; it's HOME and the downtown area is beautiful
✔️I wanted to show my girls that having a job that you enjoy where you work hard to make a difference in the lives of people is so important ~ it's never too late to learn something different and make a change for the current season of life that works better for your family
