Dublin Glenn memory care assisted living community sets new standards for Alzheimer's & dementia care

At Dublin Glenn, we understand that each individual's journey with dementia is different so we offer personalized care and services based on each resident's needs, preferences, safety, and comfort. Caring for people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia is our true passion at Dublin Glenn. Our approach to memory care is holistic and takes into account each resident's personality, habits, routines, and care needs. Our goal is for each resident and their family to feel safe, secure, connected, and cared for. Halloween is all about joy, laughter, and community—and we had all three at Dublin Glenn! We were thrilled to welcome our next-door neighbors from Tutor Time for some festive Trick-or-Treating fun.

Costumes ranged from Waldo to unicorns, bats, bears, and even a zebra with her zookeeper—each one bringing big smiles to our residents’ faces!

Intergenerational visits like these are so meaningful. The children and our residents share laughter, stories, and moments that remind us how special community connections are. We learn from one another, and in doing so, we stay young at heart.

Dr. Beeson will share expert insights on aging and the Alzheimer’s caregiving journey to strengthen your skills and understanding as a caregiver.

The holidays are often filled with sharing, laughter, and memories, but for dementia caregivers, they can also bring stress, disappointment, and sadness. Join us to gain an understanding of Alzheimer's disease and learn strategies for making the holiday season a success.
December 4: Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors
Understand common dementia-related behaviors as a form of communication, non-medical approaches to behaviors, and how to recognize when additional help is needed.

Our next meeting is tomorrow, October 21! As a caregiver, finding the care and support you need to be at your best can often feel overwhelming. That’s why we created the Memory Loss Empowerment Group—a place where caregivers come together to share resources, insights, advice, and encouragement.
In this group, you’ll:
Gain helpful tips and techniques for caregiving.
Learn approaches that have worked for others in similar situations.
Share your experiences and advice with fellow caregivers.
We’re here to empower and support each other through the caregiving journey! This group is open to anyone who has a loved one living with dementia or is a caregiver to someone living with dementia.

We wrapped up our National Assisted Living Week Celebration with a truly special visit from some farm friends! 🐐🐴🐇

Residents, staff, and family members had the chance to spend the afternoon with goats, alpacas, a llama, miniature horses, a baby cow, sheep, and rabbits. The joy on everyone’s faces said it all!

It’s moments like these—out-of-the-ordinary adventures filled with laughter and connection—that make life at Dublin Glenn so special.

We ventured to Monte Carlo for our Family Night Casino! Residents and families joined together for an evening of fun, laughter, and plenty of luck at the tables. Roulette, Pokeno, and blackjack kept the excitement going, and the joy of spending time together was truly priceless. 🎲✨

After the games, everyone enjoyed another wonderful meal prepared by our talented culinary team— the perfect way to end a spectacular evening.

We sailed into the port of Costa Rica during our Ageless Adventure Week and discovered the tradition of Ox Carts! These beautiful carts are used to haul supplies and are always decorated with bright, bold designs. 🌺

For our craft project, residents painted their very own Ox Cart wheels—choosing colors, patterns, and designs that were as vibrant and unique as they are. The results were absolutely stunning, full of color and creativity!

We love celebrating culture, art, and adventure together here at Dublin Glenn. 💙
