Dublin Glenn memory care assisted living community sets new standards for Alzheimer's & dementia care

At Dublin Glenn, we understand that each individual's journey with dementia is different so we offer personalized care and services based on each resident's needs, preferences, safety, and comfort. Caring for people with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia is our true passion at Dublin Glenn. Our approach to memory care is holistic and takes into account each resident's personality, habits, routines, and care needs. Our goal is for each resident and their family to feel safe, secure, connected, and cared for. Residents, staff, and family members put on their blue suede shoes and enjoyed an evening of music, dancing, and pure fun. Our “Elvis” lit up the room with a performance that had everyone smiling, singing along, and — for a moment — feeling like we’d been transported straight to Vegas.

At Dublin Glenn Memory Care, we are proud to participate in The Ohio State University’s Perfect Pair Program—an initiative that creates meaningful, one-on-one connections between students and our residents through shared interests and companionship.

Last weekend, our Perfect Pair participants joined us for a festive holiday activity: making Christmas bracelets together. Laughter, creativity, and conversation filled the room as residents and students enjoyed this special time side by side.

It was a heartwarming afternoon that truly reflects the spirit of connection and community we cherish here at Dublin Glenn. ❤️🎄

Virtual Education with Dr. Douglas Scharre

Join Dr. Douglas Scharre for an important educational presentation on two forms of Frontotemporal Dementia—Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) and Behavioral Variant Frontotemporal Dementia (bvFTD). Learn how they differ from Alzheimer’s disease, the signs to watch for, and supportive care strategies that can make a meaningful difference for families and caregivers.
Approved for 1.0 CEU for Ohio nurses and social workers.

Our next meeting is on November 18! As a caregiver, finding the care and support you need to be at your best can often feel overwhelming. That’s why we created the Memory Loss Empowerment Group—a place where caregivers come together to share resources, insights, advice, and encouragement.
In this group, you’ll:
Gain helpful tips and techniques for caregiving.
Learn approaches that have worked for others in similar situations.
Share your experiences and advice with fellow caregivers.
We’re here to empower and support each other through the caregiving journey! This group is open to anyone who has a loved one living with dementia or is a caregiver to someone living with dementia.

Halloween is all about joy, laughter, and community—and we had all three at Dublin Glenn! We were thrilled to welcome our next-door neighbors from Tutor Time for some festive Trick-or-Treating fun.

Costumes ranged from Waldo to unicorns, bats, bears, and even a zebra with her zookeeper—each one bringing big smiles to our residents’ faces!

Intergenerational visits like these are so meaningful. The children and our residents share laughter, stories, and moments that remind us how special community connections are. We learn from one another, and in doing so, we stay young at heart.

Thank you to Tutor Time for making this Halloween extra special! 🧡
