More Than an Expo: A Morning of Care and Connection
Our Aging Well Expo at Belle Haven Community Center brought together seniors, caregivers, providers, and community leaders for a morning centered on access, education, and coordinated care. Hosted by Omatochi in collaboration with the Urban League of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, the event fostered meaningful connection and community.
The program opened with Deka D**e, CEO of Omatochi, alongside Ken Maxey of the Urban League Bay Area, setting a collaborative tone. Attendees connected with providers, explored resources, joined Omatochi’s signature banana dance, and celebrated Ken Maxey’s birthday with seniors.
We’re grateful for the leadership of Supervisor Lisa Gauthier, whose support helped make the Expo inclusive and accessible, and to Belle Haven Community Center, Rondell, Tony, and their team for hosting and event support.
Highlights included a CalAIM Provider Panel with Camille Cooley (Kaiser Permanente), Bella Bunkers (Mom’s Meals), and Enoc Bermudez (Omatochi), plus a Financial Fraud Prevention session by Alex Cadenas from the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation. Thank you to BluePath Health and the Omatochi team for making it all possible.
