Yesterday, our clinical and home care teams came together for a hands-on Skills Fair right here at Friendship Village of Dublin!

The event gave associates the opportunity to strengthen their skills, connect with one another, and learn from valued partners who help us provide the highest quality care.

It’s moments like these that remind us what our mission is all about: serving others with knowledge, compassion, and heart. 💙

Time sure flies when you’re making new friends… or in Flash’s case, glides! 🐌

Since June, Flash the Snail has been part of our Friendship Village family, greeting us each day with his bright orange charm and artistic flair. He’s brought smiles, color, and plenty of photo ops to our community. 🧡

Now, Flash and his orange snail buddies from the Dublin Arts Council have been nominated in the Best Public Art category for Dublin’s Voters’ Choice Awards!

Planning for the future starts with the right guidance. 📄

Today, we welcomed our friend Hope Spangler of Jarvis Law Office, P.C., estate planning expert and certified dementia practitioner, for an Estate Planning 101 presentation. Guests learned how to protect their assets, understand trusts and wills, and plan with confidence.

We recently had the pleasure of creating silkscreen cards with Columbus-based artist Yani Sheng!

Yani guided us through the process step by step, helping us explore a fun and creative new medium. We can’t wait to welcome her back tomorrow for another session! 🎨

💙 Mission Moment: CNA Class of 2025 🩺

We’re so proud of our newest CNAs — Brianna, Jane, Fardowsa, and Col — for earning their certifications through the Direct Care Training Center with instructor Maria Raub!

This program helps team members grow from unlicensed to licensed professionals, opening doors to new opportunities in nursing and higher levels of care.

This achievement is made possible through Friendship Village of Dublin’s philanthropy fund and the support of our community, helping associates pursue professional growth while providing exceptional care to residents.

Last week we took a road trip to Mansfield, Ohio, to tour the infamous Ohio State Reformatory! We learned about its fascinating history, explored the grounds, and experienced a piece of Ohio’s bone-chilling past up close.

🍁 Our Third Annual Buckeye Fall Fest was a true mission moment. More than 200 residents, families, staff, and volunteers joined together to enjoy games, crafts, music, and Buckeye pride.

The event reflected what Friendship Village of Dublin is all about: creating meaningful connections, enriching lives, and celebrating community the Village Way.

We’re celebrating our October Associates of the Month, Jerry Savage and Kris Baker! 🎉

● Jerry joined our Village Voyagers trip to Lakeside Chautauqua and received five nominations from grateful residents who appreciated his safe driving, willingness to lend a hand, and quick wit.

● Kris is marking 12 years at Friendship Village of Dublin this month! She’s been an incredible part of our community, from her years in Home Care to her current role on the Life Enrichment team, where she helps our Waterford Place residents stay active and engaged.

We’re so grateful for both of you and everything you do to make FVD such a special place! 💙

Active Aging Week 2025 was a to remember! 💙

We came together as a community to celebrate movement, friendship, and joyful living.

From start to finish, we embraced every opportunity to stay active, try something new, and share in the spirit of Friendship Village of Dublin.

This week reminded us what it truly means to live with purpose, connect with others, and celebrate wellness in every form. We’re grateful for the friendships, the laughter, and the memories made along the way.

Here’s to carrying the spirit of Active Aging Week into everything we do! 🚗✨

We are at the end of the road for Active Aging Week 2025, and Route 66 has taken us to some pretty amazing places! What better way to cross the finish line than with a classic car show and carnival!? 🏁🚘

We began the day by revving our engines with a morning Pilates class, and then welcomed a host of classic cars into our pits. Thunderbirds, Corvettes, Rolls-Royces, and Stingrays lined up for our Residents, staff, and families to admire, bringing back memories of yesteryear. Together, we enjoyed a picnic lunch, a balloon artist, and carnival games on such a beautiful day! 🎡

Thank you to all of our staff, Residents, and volunteers for such an amazing day and week!
