A squall line of a thunderstorm that formed over Middle Georgia Allergy & Asthma last Friday. Interestingly there is a condition known thunderstorm asthma when individuals with allergic asthma have a quick onset but also quick recovery of an asthma attack with thunderstorms. Even more interestingly, is that it was initially thought to be related to changes in barometric pressure, but later found that thunderstorms cause osmotically fragmented allergen particles (aka burst pollen grains) caused but updrafts and downdrafts of the thunderstorm and not really due to changes in atmospheric pressure at all.
