✨ What an incredible night of gratitude and grace! ✨

Our 2025 Gratitude Gala was a powerful celebration of God’s redemption and the life change happening every day at Teen Challenge Southeast – Dublin. Guests enjoyed a night of fellowship, a silent auction and raffle, moving testimonies from our students and graduates, and an unforgettable performance of “Barabbas” by our Rally Team — a vivid reminder of how Christ took our place so we could be free.

We’re so thankful for everyone who attended, gave, prayed, and supported this ministry. Because of you, hope is being put within reach every single day. 💛

Meet Yancy Helton!

Yancy serves as our Admissions Liaison and Mentor here at Teen Challenge Southeast – Dublin. His journey with Teen Challenge has been a powerful one — beginning as a student, then growing as an Emerging Leader, Intern, and now faithfully serving on staff.

Yancy brings a wealth of life experience to his role, having walked through both the heights of a 35-year professional career and the depths of homelessness and hopelessness before experiencing transformation through Jesus Christ.

When asked what he enjoys most about serving, Yancy said:
➡️ “Sharing experiences of hope and the fullness of life in Christ.”

One of his greatest joys has been witnessing students reach that “moment of clarity” — seeing the expressions on their faces when hope finally breaks through. He also loves watching the “renewing of the mind” take place in the classroom as students grow in their knowledge of God’s Word.

His favorite scriptures are:
📖 2 Timothy 2:24-26, Ephesians 4:32, and Psalm 37:7 (NLT).
They remind him daily of the patience, kindness, and faithfulness needed in ministry.

Yancy’s greatest hope for our students is simple yet profound: “That they will have life, and have it more abundantly — a rich and satisfying life.”

Fun fact? Yancy is an avid fan of praise and worship — from the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir to gospel quartets and everything in between! 🎶

We are so thankful for Yancy’s heart, his story, and the way he pours into the men of Teen Challenge each day. 🙏

🍇 Seasons of Growth – Week 4 🍇

After planting, waiting, and enduring storms, the harvest comes. When we stay faithful, God brings fruit into our lives—love, joy, peace, and so much more. The harvest is proof that His Word never returns void.

📖 “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” – Galatians 5:22-23

💬 Question: Which fruit of the Spirit do you see God growing most in your life right now?

☔ Seasons of Growth – Week 3 ☔

Every season of growth comes with storms. Rain nourishes the soil, but it also tests the roots. The storms in life may feel overwhelming, but God uses them to strengthen our faith.

📖 “When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation.” – Proverbs 10:25

💬 Question: What storm has God carried you through that strengthened your faith?

This Week's Devotion: A New Creation

📖 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Recovery in Christ isn’t just about becoming “better”—it’s about becoming new. God doesn’t simply clean you up—He gives you a new heart, a new identity, and a new story. You are no longer defined by addiction or brokenness but by His redemption.

🕊️ Reflection: What old label or identity do you need to let go of so you can fully embrace being God’s new creation?

Meet Michael Payne!

Michael serves as our Program Manager here at Teen Challenge Southeast – Dublin. For the past three years, he has been one of the main leaders on our campus — walking daily alongside our students, mentoring, discipling, and showing what it looks like to walk by faith and not by sight.

Michael’s testimony is one of God’s redeeming power. For many years, he lived in a destructive cycle of m**h addiction, in and out of jail and prison, and often absent from his children’s lives. But when the Holy Spirit led him to Teen Challenge, everything changed. Through surrender, discipleship, and continued trust in the Lord, Michael not only found freedom himself but also began to see the pieces of his life restored — especially his relationship with his children.

One of the most powerful testimonies of God’s faithfulness in Mike’s life came through his daughter. After being shot, doctors told their family that she would never walk again. But Michael refused to give up hope. Day after day, he prayed both privately and at her bedside in the hospital, believing for a miracle. Today, against every medical prediction, his daughter is walking — living proof of the miracle-working power of God.

Beyond his role at Teen Challenge, Michael treasures his role as a father and grandfather. His love for his grandson Mason is evident to everyone who knows him, and he considers that relationship one of God’s sweetest gifts in his life.

As a leader, Michael says his greatest joy is seeing lives changed. He finds purpose in discipleship, helping men discover their identity in Christ and walk in true freedom. His prayer for every student is that they would not only find recovery but also experience a successful walk with the Lord that carries them far beyond their time in the program.

His life is anchored by this verse:
📖 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7

And, on a lighter note — when he’s not leading or mentoring, you might find Mike enjoying one of his favorites: a hearty plate of lasagna. 🍝

Michael’s journey is living proof that no one is too far gone for God’s grace. His leadership, faith, and daily example have made an incredible impact on the men of Teen Challenge Dublin, and we are so thankful for the way he serves our mission of putting hope within reach.

➡️ Help us celebrate Michael in the comments and thank him for the way he serves with faith, passion, and love!
