Recently Dr. Taylor, Dr. Bring, and Dr. Chilupe have taken time to serve and educate our community by participating in several Walk with a Doc-Columbus sessions!

What is Walk with a Doc you ask?? “Walk with a Doc is a walking program for everyone interested in taking steps for a healthier lifestyle.” Participants get to learn about a current health topic straight from a doctor, then spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and fun conversation! 🏃🏾‍♀️ 🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️

As a program we’re so excited to collaborate with our surrounding communities in a multitude of ways!

Dr. Jennifer Hetrick is our leader in all things Lifestyle Medicine and is our go-to preceptor for the most thorough differential! She’s also a fearless advocate with the best sense of humor. 😄 She enjoys 🎵broadway musicals, Pad Thai, and contemplating complex medical cases.🩺When not precepting or caring for her Direct Primary Care patients, you might find her walking with local community members for the Walk With A Doc program! 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏾Dr. Hetrick is an incredibly insightful person who lives to help others. She is a true asset to the Dublin Dream Team! ☘️

This past weekend, our residents had a great time providing medical coverage at the Cap City Half Marathon under the direction of our program director, Dr. Bring! 🏃🏽‍♂️We are proud of our 10,000 Columbus community members who got out there and did work on a rainy morning!💪🏼 See you all at Emerald City in a few months! ☘️⁣

As February 2022 and another Black History Month comes to a close, it is always important to reflect on all celebrations of African American excellence, both past and present. PGY-1 Dr. Amir Dada, pictured above, gave a wonderful presentation on Black History Month, it’s roots, and current practices today. Whether it’s individually or with others, every February, and more so every day can be used to appreciate and celebrate Black History!
