🌿 At Cancer Center of Middle Georgia, we are proud of our rural roots—and even more proud of the strength of our patients and cancer survivors. 🌿

Every day, we see what it means to fight cancer in a rural community. For many of our patients, care isn’t just about medicine—it’s about miles traveled, time sacrificed, and resilience shown.

50… 75… even 100 miles for treatment.

And yet, despite these challenges, our patients continue to show up—with courage, faith, and determination. That’s something worth celebrating. 💙

🚨 Today, Dr. Vyas shares an important message in his latest article published in Inside Medicine – Atlanta Edition:

Rural cancer care works.
It works because of strong communities, dedicated care teams, and the trust built between patients and providers.

But it also reminds us of something we see every day—
when access to local care disappears, the burden grows heavier.

👉 “Distance doesn’t just increase—it becomes the diagnosis.”

At CCMG, we remain committed to ensuring that our community never has to face cancer alone—or far from home.

To our patients, survivors, and families:
We celebrate you, your strength, and your journey.
