You’ve thought about reaching out. Maybe more than once. But then you tell yourself: It’s not that bad…. You should be able to handle it…. You’ll figure it out…

So you wait.

A lot of women we work with started right there.
You don’t have to wait until things feel unmanageable.
You’re allowed to get support while you’re still holding it together.
You can reach out whenever you feel ready. You don’t have to wait until things feel unmanageable.

If this has been on your mind, I wrote more about why it’s so hard to actually reach out and how to think about it in this week’s email 🩷

There’s more mental health advice online right now than ever before.

Some of it can be helpful.
Some of it is incomplete.
And some of it oversimplifies what women are actually experiencing.

If you’ve tried the supplements, the routines, the “do this and you’ll feel better”, and you’re still struggling, you’re not doing anything wrong.

Women’s mental health is complex.
Hormones, life transitions, stress, identity, sleep, and biology all play a role.

Support can look like many things…
but real treatment is personalized, nuanced, and built around you.

You deserve care that actually takes you seriously.

✨ Julia is currently accepting new patients, and we would love to support you.

You can schedule directly through the link in our bio. 🤍

If you’ve been here since the beginning, you’ve probably noticed a shift in the way I show up.

The version of me who built this practice as a solo provider is different from the version of me now — the one running a growing group psychiatry practice while also navigating divorce and co-parenting.

This season has asked me to lead differently — with more boundaries, more intention, and more trust in the team around me. It’s been humbling and stretching in ways I never expected, but it’s also made this practice stronger than it’s ever been.

I’ve learned to respect each version of myself along the way, knowing that the version of me two years from now will look different from the version of me today — and that growth is part of the work, not a departure from it.

Growth has meant building a practice that can stand on its own, not just around one person — and that’s what allows us to show up consistently for the women who rely on us.

And if you’re finding it hard to enjoy the season you’re in because of your mental health, you don’t have to do that alone. This is the work we do every day — and we’d be honored to support you.

My hope is that you’re able to meet yourself where you are, even when it feels unfamiliar or uncomfortable.

Remember, I am forever rooting for you.

In times of collective stress, women’s nervous systems regulate through connection.
Laughter, shared reality, and being understood lower cortisol and increase oxytocin.

This isn’t avoidance. It’s biology.

Close the app. Text your people. Schedule time to make it out of the group chat. Let your body breathe.
