I want to thank you for the last 11 years of trusting me with your care. Due to changes in insurance policies, and costs of doing business as a single practitioner, I can no longer provide you with the care that I believe you should all receive.

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that Friday, February 25th , 2022, will be the last day the Center for Pediatric & Adolescent Pain Care will be open for business and patient care.
It has been my privilege to provide you with care for all these years. Moving forward we will work together to transition your care to your chosen physician.

We recommend Nationwide Children’s Hospital (https://www.nationwidechildrens.org, 3592 Corporate Dr, Columbus, OH 43231) for our patients that are 18 years old or younger and Integrated Pain Solutions (https://ipscolumbus.com, 3100 Plaza Properties Blvd, #320, Columbus, OH 43219) for our adult patients.

Our office will remain open to continue providing care to you until our closing date. Beginning in December we will be reducing our hours to Wednesdays and Fridays. Please make sure to schedule ahead of time so that we can successfully work on providing you with the best transitional care. We will continue our longstanding policies that without an appointment there will be no medication refills. Please be diligent in keeping your remaining appointments.
After closure, you will still be able to make contact with me through your ChARM portal.

Patient records will be available for free through a request through ChARM until August 31st, 2022. Your ChARM portal, will be maintained after our closing date, and you will still be able to request records. However, after August 31, 2022 there may be a fee consistent with and as permitted under Ohio law.

As long as everyone is not vaccinated we are all not safe. This is a comprehensive summary of current peer reviewed research results on the Delta Variant. Remain masked, even outside if you are less than three feet. Your vaccine protects you from being hospitalized with severe complications from Delta variant. You can be vaccinated, be fine, and infectious with Delta Variant. This means you can still spread disease. Pure and simple, if you are not vaccinated, go to your nearby pharmacy and get vaccinated, keep wearing a mask.

Delta has quickly become the dominant SARS-CoV-2 variant in over a dozen countries around the world. How contagious and deadly is this variant? Will vaccines remain protective against Delta?

Early pilot study evidence shows that support animals are beneficial in mental health, specifically in reducing anxiety and depression. We know that anxiety and depression can influence chronic pain. Our fuzzy family members help "to reduce disability-related impairment for a particular person through the animal's presence and everyday interactions." Peer reviewed studies are needed to establish this correlational influence, but go ahead and give your ESA some love, it's good for you.
