Your pelvic floor is working with ALL of these 😜

(BUT if you don’t know how to coordinate your pelvic floor then you have to figure that out first)

Why these progressions?

Bridge hold w marches ➡️ Begins to challenge single leg glute strength and pelvis stability, without needing the strength for a full single leg bridge (but that would be next step)

Plank shoulder taps ➡️ Challenges weight acceptance through your core/shoulder girdle

Modified side plank w leg lift ➡️ Adds a more dynamic challenge needed for strong outer glutes (great for runners)

Squat w plate press ➡️ Shifts weight forward so your core and spine are challenge to keep you upright

If all you’re doing is the first one, without knowing how to progress to the more advanced version - we can help, and it’s probably what your pelvic floor needs.

If you’re tired of searching the internet for the “best pelvic floor exercises” or you’ve been to rehab and didn’t feel like it challenged you enough to get better - call today 👏🏼

Pelvic rehab isn’t just about breathing and gentle stretches. It’s about helping you trust your body again.

Because it’s not just your pelvic floor that needs healing. It’s also your confidence to move, lift, jump, and show up in your workouts without worrying what your body might do.

Strength training is where that transformation happens.

It’s the mom who used to skip her favorite bootcamp classes because she leaked every time they did jump squats… now hitting box jumps again, dry and confident.

It’s the woman who avoided deadlifts because she was scared of feeling “pressure down there”… now pulling weight off the floor without symptoms because she finally learned how to breathe, brace, and move with control.

It’s the runner who thought her prolapse meant her best race days were behind her… now finishing her miles stronger than before because she built a body that supports her pelvic floor, not one that fears it.

Strength training is pelvic floor rehab that actually translates to life. Picking up your toddler. Carrying groceries. Lifting a barbell. Jumping into movement without flinching. That’s what true rehab should look like.

And 5 or 10 lbs is NOT ENOUGH. You’re doing way more than that in your daily life.

At Life in Motion Physical Therapy, we bridge the gap between rehab and real life. Our approach blends pelvic floor science with full-body strength training so you don’t just heal, but come back stronger than ever.

If you’re tired of being told to “just do your Kegels” or doing bridges and bird dogs for years to come, and want a team that gets what it means to be active, strong, and unstoppable… we’re the right place for you.

But please stop trying to ONLY stretch your pain away 😫

If your hip pain continues to come back frequently - like every time you run, when you sit a certain way, every time you workout, etc….

You likely need more than stretches. Your hips need something more - more load, more coordination, more stabilization, more strength.

And we are the fitness forward rehab experts to help you do that 💪🏼

Pressure coming down > pressure your muscles can withstand - what do we do about it?

We can:

1. Reduce pressure coming down (example is exhale instead of holding breath) - this can help reduce symptoms quickly, BUT that’s usually a short term solution.

2. Reinforce the muscle control/coordination/strength to withstand pressures and respond appropriately

THIS is why your pelvic rehab needs to have you lifting weights heavier than just 5 lb dumbbells 😅 Your pelvic floor needs to be gradually exposed to more load so it can adapt and learn how to withstand it.

What do your kids weigh?

You need to be loading your body MORE than that so you can pick up your kids with no issues for years to come.

And TBH, we’ve seen a lot of clients in our clinic who have been to rehab before so we know that not everyone is doing this…

This is where we are different. We blend fitness/strength programming with rehab concepts to give you a customized plan to your best strength and healthiest pelvic floor, before or after babies.

BEST for moms who are active, or want to be active, especially with strength training.

“Just stop lifting.”
Cool advice if you want to stay weak forever. 🙃

But if you’d rather rebuild your strength and protect your pelvic floor, that’s exactly what we do.

Because prolapse doesn’t mean you’re fragile, it means it’s time to get intentional about how you’re lifting and bringing more body awareness.

At Life in Motion, we blend rehab + performance so you can lift, jump, and train with confidence again.

Not everyone is out there doing this with women - they are cut off from rehab WAY too early and it’s leaves them feeling like rehab “didn’t work”.

We do it differently because we KNOW it works better. Book your free consult call with us today 🏋🏽‍♀️

ONLY doing kegels is not the answer, no matter how many doctors are still out there giving that as your best option.

BUT let’s at least get on the same page about what it is and how to do it - because we do want to gain awareness of what our pelvic floor is doing when we do things like bridge, squat, jump, etc.

The end goal is that you DON’T have to think about your pelvic floor, but if you’re having issues - we have to bring awareness to what the heck it’s doing and what we need it to be doing.

At Life In Motion we go WAY beyond kegels - which is what you need, ESPECIALLY if you’re active, lifting weights, running, boot camping, etc.

Want to be the first in your family to avoid bladder surgery?

Because leaking, pressure, and prolapse aren’t “just part of being a woman.”

They’re signs your body is asking for help, and the right kind of care can completely change your story.

Here’s the truth most people don’t hear soon enough:
👉 You don’t need to wait until things get bad enough for surgery.
👉 You don’t have to settle for “do your Kegels and good luck.”
👉 And you definitely don’t have to choose between being active and protecting your pelvic floor.

At Life in Motion, we don’t just look at your pelvic floor. We look at how your entire body moves, breathes, and manages pressure.

We blend strength training, breathing mechanics, mobility, and pelvic rehab so you can do the things you love without symptoms holding you back.

Because not every clinic treats this way.

Most places only address the symptoms - we teach you how to prevent them for life.

💜 Be the one who breaks the cycle.
💜 Be the one who takes care of her body before it becomes a crisis.
💜 Be the first in your family to rewrite the story.

Stop listening to providers who say things like this 😡

The amount of FEAR that women walk in with about what’s happening to their body is out of control. And most of the time it’s because no one took the time to explain to them what actually is going on, and give them a message of HOPE.

It’s just “yeah you’ll need surgery someday, come back when you’re done having kids.”

ARE WE KIDDING. We know better than this now.

You can lift heavy with a prolapse.
You can jump and run with a prolapse.
You can lift your kids safely with a prolapse.

BUT we need to teach you and your body HOW to do these things well so that you no longer have symptoms and prevent more serious issues down the road.

Don’t ignore the symptoms, but also don’t be afraid - we’ve got you ❤️

If your pelvic floor is always “on,” this is the breathing you need.

SAVE TO USE LITERALLY EVERY DAY 👏🏼

When you breathe like this, your diaphragm and pelvic floor move together—as you inhale, your diaphragm lowers and your pelvic floor naturally relaxes.
As you exhale, they rise and lightly re-engage.

This rhythm does more than help your pelvic floor—it also activates your vagus nerve, your body’s built-in stress reliever that calms your nervous system and helps shift you out of “fight or flight.” (Aka where most of you live because you won’t ever TAKE A BREAK 😅😜)
