The Telegraph Herald interviewed Gina Blean, Speech Therapist and co-owner of Unified Therapy Services, about sudden Iowa Medicaid reimbursement changes that limit speech therapy coverage to just 15 minutes per sessionโan effective 66% cut that was implemented with little notice and no meaningful provider input.
This damaging decision directly impacts our clinic and the patients we serve. Children need time to regulate, engage, and practice skills to make real progress. Limiting care puts early intervention, access, and long-term outcomes at risk.
Please read the article (full article in the comments), share this post, and contact state leaders to advocate for fair Medicaid policies that protect our patients.
๐ฃ Call or email the Governorโs office TODAY and urge her to pause and eliminate IL 2714 until the real impact on patient care can be fully reviewed.
