Established in 1874, the facilities are built around an 1850's mansion set on 5 wooded, landscaped acres in a quiet, centrally-located neighborhood. FAST ADMISSION
Admission for short or long term stays can occur overnight. There are no income limits. Financial assistance is available. Our non-profit charity status, endowment, and dedicated volunteers all reduce rental costs.

A huge shout-out to all who helped to make our inaugural easter event a success. We were graced by about 85 friends who came to collect some treats and spend some time with the Easter Bunny here at the Home, and can't wait to see who pays us a visit next year. We look forward to continuing this tradition forward into the years ahead. A big Thanks is in order to the University of Dubuque World View class who stopped by earlier in the week to spend some quality time with residents, and help us prepare for this event.

At Mt. Pleasant Home we have a wonderful community of people. That community encourages socialization and builds friendships and family! These two men moved in as strangers and shared meals at the table for over 10 years; they call each other brothers now. After months apart, as one of them had to move, they were reunited recently for a nice brothers lunch and birthday surprise! Thank you for being a part of the Pleasant experience.

Today, the Mt. Pleasant Home Board of Directors recognized Keith Kettler for his remarkable 35 years of dedicated Administrative Service.

Keith will be stepping down from his administrative role to pursue one of his greatest passions—cooking. We are delighted that he will continue to serve the residents of MPH as a chef, sharing his talent and love for creating wonderful meals and treats.

Please join us in thanking Keith for his decades of leadership and in celebrating this exciting new chapter!
