With SNAP benefits pausing on November 1 (just a few days away!), families are already feeling the impact. We’ve raised nearly $3,000, and our goal is $10,000 — enough to put fresh, local produce into the hands of over 300 community members during this critical time. 🥕🍎
Curious how the project works? At the Dubuque Winter Farmers Market, families show their SNAP card and grab $30 in Rooted Bucks, connecting with the farmers who grow their food and walking away with fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, and bread packed with nutrients and that fresh-picked flavor. It’s more than just food access — it’s about giving the highest-quality foods we can and showing our neighbors they matter.
