Crescent Community Health Center is encouraged by today’s action in Washington. The U.S. House of Representatives has passed H.R. 7148, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026, by a strong bipartisan vote of 341–88. All four Iowa Representatives voted in favor of the bill.

This legislation includes:
✔ Increased funding for community health centers
✔ Continued support for the National Health Service Corps
✔ Funding for Teaching Health Centers
✔ An extension of Medicare telehealth through 2027

With House passage complete, all eyes now turn to the Senate. Senators are expected to take up the bill next week, ahead of the January 30 deadline.

🎉 We’re proud to share some exciting news! 🎉

Crescent Community Health Center has been awarded the 2024 Health Center Program Operational Site Visit (OSV) Badge by the Health Resources and Services Administration.

HRSA conducts Operational Site Visits to assess health centers for compliance with all Health Center Program requirements and to ensure strong systems and continuous improvement are in place. Crescent’s regulatory site visit took place in 2024, when HRSA representatives came onsite for a comprehensive review of our operations, governance, and services.

Following the completion of that visit, HRSA determined that Crescent demonstrated full compliance with all Health Center Program Requirements—earning us the 2024 OSV Badge, a distinction awarded only to health centers that achieve perfect compliance.

This badge is a new recognition, presented after a successful on-site visit, and reflects the dedication, accountability, and excellence of our entire team. While every health center operates on its own four-year review cycle, this recognition marks a major milestone for Crescent.

We are incredibly proud of our staff and leadership for their commitment to high-quality care, strong oversight, and continuous improvement—so our patients and community can always trust the care they receive at Crescent.
