Be a Santa to Sunnycrest! Our Sunnycrest Manor Auxiliary is again asking for donations to benefit our residents. Last year, we raised $9,772.07 during this campaign. Can we make $10,000 this year? In the the last year, the Auxiliary has used funds to provide necessities and some fun outings for residents. We also added a canopy and raised gardens to our courtyard patio. They have also sponsored all of our large events-2 Casino Days, Prom, Haunted House and Holly Jolly Christmas in the last year! Please consider a donation via our Amazon wish list

Congratulations to Gary & Bobbi for committing themselves to each other here at Sunnycrest on October 30. These two made a love connection at Sunnycrest, and are ever grateful to each other and all who helped make their day great. A special thanks to Pastor Karen Candee for officiating the ceremony, and to Natalie & Janaan from our Dieatry staff, for making and serving the cake, and decorating the cake table. Thanks also to the Life Enrichment team for helping with all the details for the event.

Happy Halloween from all of us at Sunnycrest! We have celebrated with door decoration and pumpkin contests, our Haunted House event, a Halloween Dance and Halloween Party. We even grew The Great Pumpkin right here at Sunnycrest! Our Haunted House event is featured in these pictures. Thanks to everyone for participating, especially for showing off all of those wonderful costumes!

It's the GREAT PUMPKIN, SUNNYCREST! We grew this huge pumpkin in our garden this year! How big do you think it is? Stop on up with your guess before Friday, Oct. 3 at noon. We have a prize for the closest resident guess, as well as the closest visitor/staff guess. At our front entrance beside the pumpkin, there are small glass jars with paper and pens/pencils for guessing. Thank you to Sunnycrest Auxilliary member, Deb Fondell, for donating the seeds and to Connie Erner, from our Life Enrichment Department, for all of her care of the garden, especially the pumpkin patch!

Hayride fun! This has been an annual Sunnycrest tradition for many years! We'd like to offer a special thanks to Moose Geraghty & Ken Thill for the use of their hay wagon and hay. Thanks to our Maintenance team for driving the rides and getting all residents safely positioned and secured on the ride, as well as for the tunes and homemade bronco! Thanks to Dietary for the delicious pumpkin bars! Thanks to our Life Enrichment team for organizing and keeping residents entertained as they waited for rides, as well as escorting residents on the rides. Thanks to our RCNAs for lining up wheelchair for the ride, and to Sunrise staff for accompaning Sunrise residents on their rides. Thanks to family and friends who took a hayride with us. It was a great day!

This summer, we have had so much fun with our garden and new garden patio space! Thank you to our financial contributors: Greg Hirtz, Sunnycrest Manor Auxilary via Asbury Eagles Club 2024 & 2025 Burger Nights, and The McDonough Foundation. Thanks to Bob Reisdorf for providing the lighting and ceiling fan! Lots of great memories were made here this summer.
