I'm the kind of person who amplifies connections - when you reach out once, I respond with triple the enthusiasm. I've been cultivating what I call 'grace point communication,' a monthly check-in with my network, to nurture meaningful relationships. By doing so, I'm embracing the mindset that I'm attracting individuals who resonate with my vision. As an entrepreneur, I've learned that sometimes the most unlikely supporters can become your greatest allies. By staying true to my purpose and consistently sharing my passion, I create a ripple effect that inspires others to join me on this journey. My ongoing mantra is this “I’m only looking for people that are looking for me.” So don’t get discouraged when people don’t support your vision, focus on the people that focus on you and ignore the people that ignore you.

Our Story

J4BG Family was founded in 2006 by Larry Jackson Jr., MSE, tLMHC (www.larryjacksonjr.com).

In 2006, J4BG originally started under the vision "J4BG Academy". During that time Larry Jackson developed a community-based group guidance counseling curriculum for at-risk youth in the downtown area of Dubuque. That outreach was provided every Monday night and continued for 6 years.

In 2014, a building was purchased in the downtown area of Dubuque where free counseling services were provided along with continued community outreach. The organization was renamed J4BG Family Services, where holistic, and empowerment directed objectives were offered to at-risk families in Dubuque.

Some of the projects that have supported under the umbrella of J4BG Family include: the Beautification Project, the March Against Violence, Family Nights, and Fatherhood Training
